GParted Partition Editor 1.3 Release

Gparted 1.3 (GNOME Partition Editor) is now available to support most file systems and partition types used in Linux. In addition to managing labels, editing, and creating partitions, GParted allows you to reduce or increase the size of existing partitions without losing data placed on them, check the integrity of partition tables, recover data from lost partitions, and align the beginning of a partition to a cylinder boundary.

In the new version:

  • Added support for resizing active LUKS2 encrypted partitions.
  • Improved support for the exFAT file system, updated UUID, and added getting information about the distribution of disk space in exFAT.
  • The documentation was translated into Ukrainian.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when changing the type in the dialog for creating a new disk partition.
  • Fixed a hang when working with unnamed devices.
