An update of the free vector graphics editor Inkscape 1.2.2 is available. The editor provides flexible drawing tools and provides support for reading and saving images in SVG, OpenDocument Drawing, DXF, WMF, EMF, sk1, PDF, EPS, PostScript, and PNG formats. Ready builds of Inkscape are prepared for Linux (AppImage, Snap, Flatpak), macOS and Windows.
When preparing the new version, the main attention was paid to improving stability and eliminating bugs. Among the changes:
- In all builds and for all operating systems, the ability to import from OpenClipart is enabled.
- In builds for macOS, spell checking has been adjusted and items for rolling back changes (undo / redo) have been returned to the menu.
- Improved rendering and export performance by disabling dithering by default, which recreates missing colors by mixing existing colors.
- Color-changing add-ons allow changing colors in fill patterns.
- Resolved issues when using the Meter tool.
- Fixed issues when exporting in DXF14 format.
