Release of SANE 1.0.32 with support for new scanner models

The release of the sane-backends 1.0.32 package has been prepared, which includes a set of drivers, the scanimage command-line utility, a daemon for organizing network scanning saned, and libraries with the SANE-API implementation. The package supports 1652 scanner models, of which 737 have the status of full support for all functions, for 766 the level of support is rated as good, for 126 it is acceptable, and for 23 it is minimal. Additionally, for 464 devices, there is an incompletely tested driver implementation. Support for 478 scanners remains unrealized.

The new version introduces the following improvements:

  • Added support for new scanners and MFPs, including: Avision AV186+ and AV188, Canon DR-C120 and DR-C130, Canon LiDE 600(F), Epson ET-2600, HP LaserJet FLowMFP M578 and MFP M630, HP DeskJet 2710, 2723 and 3760, Canon PIXMA TS-5351 and MG5765, Brother HL-L258DW and Canon Pixma models released in 2020.
  • Support for the local_only parameter has been added to all backends, setting which, when sane_get_devices() is called, disables the search for network devices.
  • Improvements and fixes have been made to canon_dr, artec_eplus48u, avision, epson2, escl, fujitsu, pixma backends.
  • Added the -p (--port) option to the saned background process to change the listening network port.
