Release of the free emulator of classic quests ScummVM 2.2.0
saw the light release of a free cross-platform interpreter of classic quests ScummVM 2.2.0, which replaces the executable files for games and allows you to execute many classic games on platforms for which they were not originally intended. Project Code spreads licensed under GPLv2.
In total, it is possible to run more than 250 quests and about 1600 interactive text games, including games from LucasArts, Humongous Entertainment, Revolution Software, Cyan and Sierra, such as Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, Broken Sword, Myst, Blade Runner, King's Quest 1-7 , Space Quest 1-6, Discworld, Simon the Sorcerer, Beneath A Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress and The Legend of Kyrandia. Games are supported on Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, PS Vita, Switch, Dreamcast, AmigaOS, Atari/FreeMiNT, RISC OS, Haiku, PSP, PS3, Maemo, GCW Zero, etc.
