Release of the GNU nano 4.3 text editor

Available console text editor release GNU nano 4.3, offered as the default editor by many custom distributions whose developers find vim too difficult to master.

In the new release:

  • Support for reading and writing through named pipes (FIFO) has been resumed;
  • Reduced startup time by only doing full syntax parsing when needed;
  • Added the ability to stop loading a very large or slow-reading file using the Ctrl + C combination;
  • Separate cancellation of cutting, deleting and copying operations is provided when they are mixed;
  • The Meta-D combination now produces the correct number of lines (0 for an empty buffer).
