rclone 1.58 backup utility released

The release of the rclone 1.58 utility has been published, which is an analogue of rsync, designed to copy and synchronize data between the local system and various cloud storages, such as Google Drive, Amazon Drive, S3, Dropbox, Backblaze B2, One Drive, Swift, Hubic, Cloudfiles, Google Cloud Storage, Mail.ru Cloud and Yandex.Disk. The project code is written in Go and distributed under the MIT license.

In the new release:

  • Added backends for storing backups in Akamai Netstorage, Seagate Lyve, SeaweedFS, Storj and RackCorp.
  • The "rclone bisync" command has been implemented with the implementation of an experimental bidirectional synchronization mode. Two directories are passed to the input, which can be both local directories and links to external storages and cloud services. The proposed command synchronizes the contents of these directories, taking into account changes in each of them (changes in the first directory are reflected in the second, and changes in the second are reflected in the first).
  • Added support for "{{ regexp }}" regular expression syntax for pattern matching in filters.
  • The hashsum command implements the ability to generate a hash for data coming through the standard input stream.
  • Support for mount commands has been added to the librclone library.
  • Added windows builds for ARM64 architecture.
  • The minimum version of the Go compiler required for building has been increased to 1.15.
