Celluloid video player 0.24 (formerly GNOME MPV) is now available, providing a GTK-based GUI for the MPV console video player. Celluloid is used in the Linux Mint and Ubuntu MATE distributions as the default video player.
In the new release:
- We have switched to using the libadwaita library, which offers ready-made widgets and objects for building applications that comply with the GNOME HIG (Human Interface Guidelines) recommendations and can adaptively adjust to screens of any size.
- Added an option that includes the ability to drag and drop a video area.
- Implemented a layout of controls that adapts to different window and screen sizes.
- Enabled display of chapter labels and titles in the scroll bar and tooltip.
