Celluloid video player v0.21 release

Celluloid Video Player 0.21 (formerly GNOME MPV) is available, providing a GUI based on the GTK library for the MPV console video player. Celluloid has been chosen by the developers of the Linux Mint distribution to replace VLC and Xplayer starting with Linux Mint 19.3. Previously, a similar decision was made by Ubuntu MATE developers.

In the new release:

  • The command line options for random and looped playback have been made to work correctly.
  • Added the ability to call the main menu by pressing F10.
  • Suggested a setting to add open files to a playlist.
  • Added the ability to add files to the playlist by holding the Shift key while moving the file to the video display area.
  • Implemented the ability to control the display of the top panel using the "border" property provided in mpv
  • Added a manifest file to create a Flatpak package.
