After a year of development, the release of the free non-linear video editing system Pitivi 2022.06 is available. The editor is written in Python using the GTK+ (PyGTK) library, GES (GStreamer Editing Services) and can work with all audio and video formats supported by GStreamer, including the MXF (Material eXchange Format) format. The code is distributed under the LGPL license.
