Oracle has published a corrective release of the virtualization system
Main changes in release 6.0.14:
- Ensured compatibility with the Linux 5.3 kernel;
- Improved compatibility with guest systems that use the ALSA audio subsystem in AC'97 emulation mode;
- Flickering, redrawing, and crashing issues in some 3D applications have been resolved in VBoxSVGA and VMSVGA virtual graphics adapters.
- The scripts for creating rpm packages for Linux-based hosts improved the code for detecting Python versions, which solved some problems during installation;
- In components for Linux-based guests, a crash when calling aio_read and aio_write on shared folders has been fixed, and an issue when unmounting shared partitions has been resolved;
- Fixed issues with building components for guest systems in
RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux 7.7 and RHEL 8.1 Beta; - In the virtualization code, issues were resolved when running on systems with a large number of processors and a bug was fixed that, under rare circumstances, led to an incorrect guest system state on some hosts with Intel processors;
- Improved stability of USB device access passthrough on Windows hosts;
- Fixed a potential issue with NIC interrupt handling in UEFI guests.
- Fixed GUI VM process crash in macOS 10.15 Catalina host environment.
