VirtualBox 6.1.28 release

Oracle has published a corrective release of the VirtualBox 6.1.28 virtualization system, which notes 23 fixes.

Major changes:

  • For Linux guests and hosts, initial support has been added for the 5.14 and 5.15 kernels, as well as the RHEL 8.5 distribution.
  • Improved kernel module installation detection for Linux hosts to avoid unnecessary module rebuilds.
  • In the virtual machine manager, the problem with access to debug registers when loading nested guest systems has been resolved.

  • The bindings provide support for Python 3.9.
  • Improved services for clipboard sharing via VRDP.
  • Added support for Windows 11 guest systems.
