14 months after the last release, Otter 1.0.3, a free web browser release, is available, aimed at recreating the classic Opera 12 interface, independent of specific browser engines and aimed at advanced users who do not accept trends to simplify the interface and reduce customization options. The browser is written in C++ using the Qt5 library (without QML). The source texts are available under the GPLv3 license. Binary builds are prepared for Linux (AppImage package), macOS and Windows.
Of the changes, an update of the QtWebEngine browser engine, bug fixes, improved translations and backporting of changes, the composition of which is not specified, are noted. Separately, we can note the work on preparing a test version of the Otter browser edition for the OS / 2 operating system.

- Support for creating arbitrary menus on the panel, adding your own items to context menus, tools for flexible customization of the panel and bookmarks bar, the ability to change styles.
- Built-in note-taking system with support for importing from Opera Notes.
- Built-in interface for viewing news feeds (Feeds reader) in RSS and Atom formats.
- Ability to open the selection as a link if the content matches the URL format.
