Release of Wine 4.16 and Proton 4.11-4 for running Windows games

The package includes an implementation of DirectX 9 (based on D9VK), DirectX 10/11 (based on DXVK extension) and DirectX 12 (based on vkd3d) that work by translating DirectX calls to the Vulkan API provides improved support for game controllers and the ability to use full screen mode regardless of screen resolutions supported in games.

In the new version:

  • The DXVK layer (an implementation of DXGI, Direct3D 10 and Direct3D 11 on top of the Vulkan API) has been updated to version 1.3.4, which fixes a memory leak that occurs when running games that use Direct2D. Addressed performance issues in Quantum Break when using NVIDIA drivers and legacy AMD drivers. For Control games, the d3d11.allowMapFlagNoWait option is enabled to make better use of GPU resources;
  • D9VK layer (Direct3D 9 implementation on top of Vulkan API) updated to experimental version 0.21-rc-p;
  • FAudio components with implementation of DirectX sound libraries (API XAudio2, X3DAudio, XAPO and XACT3) updated to release 19.09;
  • Improved behavior of PlayStation 4 game controllers and other controllers connected via Bluetooth.
  • Improvements have been made to mouse capture and loss of window focus.
  • Support for launching the Farming Simulator 19 game has been provided;
  • Fixed graphical artifacts in A Hat in Time and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
