Wine 4.7 release

Available experimental release of open implementation of Win32 API - Wine 4.7. Since the release of the version 4.6 34 bug reports were closed and 264 changes were made.

The most important changes:

  • Added support for loading built-in libraries in ntdll (provided by the Wine project, not native DLLs from Windows) in the format PE (Portable Executable), including on Unix-like platforms. Support for installing built-in libraries in the form of dummy stub DLLs has been added to setupapi. Signature checks for built-in DLLs in PE format have been added to winetest and winedump. All modules using msvcrt are rebuilt as built-in libraries in PE format;
  • Mono engine components updated to version 4.8.3;
  • Implemented additional features in the engine Debug Engine (DLL dbgeng): GetNumberModules(), GetModuleByIndex(), GetModuleParameters(), GetModuleByOffset(), ReadVirtual(), IsPointer64Bit(), GetExecutingProcessorType(), GetModuleNameString(), GetModuleVersionInformation();
  • Added support for linksCommand LinkΒ» in the dialog boxes used to move to the next stage;
  • Closed bug reports related to games and applications: Worms 2, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010 Express, Rekordbox 5.3.0, SpellForce 3, Oracle Data Visualization Desktop, Microsoft Office 365, Symantec Eraser, Halo Online Voice Chat, Discord, Miro Realtimeboard, SIMATIC WinCC V15.1, Sniper Elite V2, Sniper Elite 3, Assetto Corsa, Star Wars The Old Republic, Vocaloid 5.
