Wine 5.12 release and Wine staging 5.12

Took place experimental release of the open implementation of WinAPI - Wine 5.12. Since the release of the version 5.11 48 bug reports were closed and 337 changes were made.

The most important changes:

  • NTDLL converted to PE format;
  • Added support for the WebSocket API;
  • Improved support RawInput;
  • Updated the Vulkan API specification;
  • Closed bug reports related to the operation of games and applications:
    Grand Theft Auto 3, Adobe Photoshop 7, Windows Media Player 9, Wing commander 4, Adobe Shockwave Player 11.x, Notepad2, GOTHIC 2 GOLD, Battle.net, Autodesk Fusion 360, Between, League of Legends, Dirt Rally 2.0, PS4 Remote Play 2.x, CompressonatorGUI 3.1, rFactor2, X2: The Threat, SierraChart v2068, Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation, S-Gear 2, Riot Vanguard, StarCitizen, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Need For Speed ​​Hot Pursuit 2, Melodyne 5, TheHunter: Call of the Wild, Generation Zero: FNIX Rising, Age of Wonders: Planetfall.

Addition: Following formed project release Wine Staging 5.12, within which extended builds of Wine are formed, including patches that are not fully ready or risky, not yet suitable for acceptance into the main Wine branch. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging provides 665 additional patches (in the last release there were 702, in the year before last 818 - until the completion of the separation of ntdll in the main branch of Wine, "esync" patches remain temporarily disabled).

The new release is synchronized with the Wine 5.12 codebase. 18 patches have been moved to the main Wine package, mainly related to the implementation of DirectManipulation API elements, changes to the ntdll library, and the addition of XACT definitions.

Updated patches winemenubuilder-Desktop_Icon_Path,
server-Stored_ACLs,
ntdll-ForceBottomUpAlloc,
user32-rawinput-* and ntdll-NtQueryVirtualMemory. Added patch, preventing the return of 0 for the maxImageCount value in SwapChain when using the Vulkan API (zero has caused problems in Strange Brigade, No Man's Sky, and Path of Exile).
