Wine 6.14 release and Wine staging 6.14

An experimental branch of the open implementation of WinAPI β€” Wine 6.14 β€” has been released. Since the release of version 6.13, 30 bug reports have been closed and 260 changes have been made.

The most important changes:

  • The Mono engine with the implementation of .NET technology has been updated to release 6.3.0.
  • WOW64, a layer for running 32-bit programs on 64-bit Windows, adds 32-bit to 64-bit system call thunks.
  • Continued preparations for implementing the GDI system call interface.
  • Bug reports closed for games: Evil Twin, Fallout: New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, WWE 2K15, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, Space Engineers, GRID Autosport, Star Citizen, Grand Theft Auto V, Sea of ​​Thieves, EVE Online, Dead Rising.
  • Closed bug reports related to the work of applications: Eraser 6.0, Chocolatey package manager, WinAuth 3.6.x, BurnPlot, Autodesk 3ds Max 9, Estlcam 11.x, GZDoom Builder 2.3.

At the same time, the release of the Wine Staging 6.14 project was formed, within which extended builds of Wine are formed, including patches that are not fully ready or risky, not yet suitable for acceptance into the main Wine branch. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging provides 608 additional patches. The new release synchronized with the Wine 6.14 codebase and updated the mfplat-streaming-support, nvcuda-CUDA_Support and ntdll-Junction_Points patches.
