Wine 6.22 release

An experimental branch of the open implementation of WinAPI β€” Wine 6.22 β€” has been released. Since the release of version 6.21, 29 bug reports have been closed and 418 changes have been made.

The most important changes:

  • The Wine Mono engine with .NET platform implementation has been updated to release 7.0.0.
  • For the ARM platform, support for unwinding exceptions has been implemented.
  • Improved support for joysticks that support the HID (Human Interface Devices) protocol.
  • WoW64, a layer for running 32-bit programs on 64-bit Windows, added thunks for the vicap32, ctapi32, dnsap, gphoto2.ds, netapi32, sane.ds, bcrypt, msv1_0, qcap and winspool.drv components built in the form of Unix libraries.
  • The translation of the USER32 library to use the implementation of functions from Win32u has begun.
  • Closed bug reports related to the operation of the following games: Diablo 3, Monkey Island 2 Special Edition, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Empire Earth 2 UP 1.5, Resident Evil 6, Memento Mori, Borderlands GOTY Enhanced, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Resident Evil Revelations, Oceanhorn : Monster of Uncharted Seas.
  • Closed error reports related to the operation of applications: Total Commander 7.x/8.x, KFSensor 4.x/5.x, Logos Bible, VeraCrypt Installer, Safe Exam Browser, Winaero WEI, Autodesk Fusion 360, foobar2000 v1.5.1 .
