An experimental branch of the open implementation of WinAPI β Wine 6.23 β has been released. Since the release of version 6.22, 48 bug reports have been closed and 410 changes have been made.
The most important changes:
- The CoreAudio driver and mount point manager have been converted to PE (Portable Executable) format.
- WoW64, a layer for running 32-bit programs on 64-bit Windows, added support for exception handling.
- Implemented the optional ability to use PE libraries provided by the distribution, instead of libraries from the Wine distribution.
- Improved WineDbg interface.
- Closed bug reports related to games: Layers of Fear, Internet Chess Club (ICC) Dasher 1.5.8, Rockstar Game Launcher, GTA 1997, Crazy Stone.
- Application bug reports closed: ICC Dasher 1.5.4, Serif WebPlus X8, Accessible Event Watcher, Sookasa, Windows PowerShell Core 6.2 Preview 2, Navicat V15.0.25, Ashlar Vellum/DrawingBoard 1.00, Insta360 pro Stitcher, outSPOKEN 3.0 .
