An experimental release of the open implementation of WinAPI - Wine 7.17 has taken place. Since the release of version 7.16, 18 bug reports have been closed and 228 changes have been made.
The most important changes:
- Support for higher Unicode code ranges (planes) has been added to DirectWrite.
- The Vulkan driver began implementing support for WoW64, a layer for running 32-bit programs on 64-bit Windows.
- Closed bug reports related to games: Endless Online, Wiggles, Earth 2150, Summoner, Battle Realms: Zen Edition, Riot Vanguard, Liar-soft Visual Novel, BioShock, Wizard101, Construction Set Extender.
- Closed bug reports related to the operation of applications: Visual Studio Community 2022, Ice Cream Calculator, foobar2000, msys2, 7-Zip, WinRAR.
