An experimental release of the open implementation of WinAPI - Wine 8.2 has taken place. Since the release of version 8.1, 22 bug reports have been closed and 285 changes have been made.
The most important changes:
- WoW64, a layer for running 32-bit programs on 64-bit Windows, added system call thunks for the WPCAP library.
- Improved debug information in WoW64 mode.
- Added support for Indeo IV50 video codec.
- Provided setting the name of the monitor based on EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) metadata.
- Closed bug reports related to games: GOG Heroes of Might and Magic IV, Final Fantasy XI.
- Closed bug reports related to the work of applications: Visual Studio 2005, SubLab VST3 plugin, Rich Edit.
