During the meeting, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing said that the company’s total revenue at the end of the 2018 financial year for the first time in history amounted to over $50 billion. He emphasized that this figure is a record for the vendor, also saying that Globally, only 200 companies surpass Lenovo in terms of revenue generated.
During the event, it was announced that the business related to the production of personal computers had reached the $3 billion mark. In addition, the company's mobile business grew by $1 billion. The direction related to the production of equipment for data centers, also added $1 billion.
The President of Lenovo emphasized that the increase in the supply of personal computers allowed the vendor to return to a leading position in this direction. According to statistics, Lenovo's share of the PC market in China exceeded 39% during the reporting period. In the mobile device segment, Lenovo is one of the top ten largest manufacturers. It was also noted that during the reporting period, Lenovo implemented a number of successful investment projects. Funds were invested in 21 companies, as well as financing of 6 projects was refused.
