The release of the Calculate Linux 22 distribution is available, developed by the Russian-speaking community, built on the basis of Gentoo Linux, supporting a continuous release cycle of updates and optimized for rapid deployment in a corporate environment. The new version implements the ability to bring systems that have not been updated for a long time to the current state, the Calculate utilities have been translated to Python 3, and the PipeWire sound server is enabled by default.
The following distribution editions are available for download: Calculate Linux Desktop with KDE desktop (CLD), MATE (CLDM), LXQt (CLDL), Cinnamon (CLDC) and Xfce (CLDX and CLDXE), Calculate Directory Server (CDS), Calculate Linux Scratch (CLS) and Calculate Scratch Server (CSS). All versions of the distribution are distributed as a bootable Live image for x86_64 systems with the ability to install on a hard drive or USB drive.
Calculate Linux is compatible with Gentoo Portages, uses the OpenRC init system, and uses the Rolling update model. The repository contains more than 13 thousand binary packages. Live USB includes both open source and proprietary video drivers. Supports multiboot and modification of the boot image using the Calculate utilities. The system supports working with the Calculate Directory Server domain with centralized authorization in LDAP and storage of user profiles on the server. The composition includes a selection of utilities specially designed for the Calculate project for configuring, assembling and installing the system. Tools are provided to create customized ISO images tailored to the needs of the user.
Major changes:

- A new version of Calculate Utils 3.7 has been proposed, fully translated into Python 3.
- Python 2.7 is excluded from the base distribution.
- The PulseAudio sound server has been replaced with the PipeWire multimedia server. The ability to select ALSA has been retained.
- Added Bluetooth support when using ALSA.
- Improved support for hardware virtualization based on the Hyper-V hypervisor.
- System performance has been optimized.
- The Clementine music player has been replaced with its Strawberry fork.
- Returned the use of udev for device management instead of the previously used fork of eudev.
