DOSBox is an emulator that creates the DOS environment needed to run older MS-DOS games that don't run on modern computers. It can also be used to run other DOS software, but this feature is much less in demand. DOSBox also allows you to play DOS games on operating systems that don't normally support DOS programs. The emulator is open source and available for systems such as GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, OS/2, BeOS, KolibriOS, and Symbian.
