KDE Frameworks 5.60 Released

KDE Frameworks is a set of libraries from the KDE project for building applications and desktop environments based on Qt5.

In this issue:

  • Dozens of improvements in the Baloo indexing and search subsystem - reduced power consumption on offline devices, bug fixes.
  • New BluezQt APIs for MediaTransport and Low Energy.
  • Many edits of the KIO subsystem. Entry points now do not show the root partition by default. The opening dialogs use the same display mode as Dolphin.
  • Technical and cosmetic improvements to Kirigami.
  • KWayland has begun implementing a future protocol for tracking the state of keys.
  • Solid has learned to show overlay file systems mounted via fstab.
  • The syntax highlighting subsystem has received improvements for C++20, CMake 3.15, Fortran, Lua and some other languages.
  • Edits in Plasma Framework, KTextEditor and other subsystems, improved Breeze icon set.
  • The build requires at least Qt 5.11.
