Clonezilla live 2.6.3 released

On September 18, 2019, the Clonezilla live 2.6.3-7 live distribution kit was released, the main task of which is to quickly and conveniently clone hard disk partitions and disks completely.

A distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux allows you to perform the following tasks:

  • Creating backups by saving data to a file
  • Cloning a drive to another drive
  • Allows you to clone or backup an entire disk or a single partition
  • There is the possibility of network cloning, which allows you to copy a disk to a large number of machines at a time

The main features of the release:

  • Package base aligned with Debian Sid as of September 3rd, 2019
  • Kernel updated to version 5.2.9-2
  • Partclone updated to version 0.3.13
  • Removed the zfs-fuse module, but it is possible to use openzfs in alternative builds based on Ubuntu
  • Updated client machine unique identifier generation method for GNU/Linux recovery
