Updated version of Snoop Project V1.1.9 released

Snoop Project is a forensic OSINT tool that looks for nicknames in public data.

Snoop is a fork of Sherlock, with some improvements and changes:

  • The Snoop base is several times larger than the Sherlock + Spiderfoot + Namechk bases combined.
  • Snoop has fewer false positives than Sherlock, which all similar tools have (an example of comparing Websites: Ebay; Telegram; Instagram), changes in the algorithm of work (snoop can detect username.salt).
  • New options.
  • Support sorting and HTML format
  • Improved informative output.
  • Possibility of updating software.
  • Informative reports (uploaded 'csv' format)

In version 1.1.9, the Snoop database exceeded the mark in 1k sites.
Two soundtracks in the cyberpunk genre have been added to the Snoop software.
The most significant changes are here

Snoop is announced as one of the most promising OSINT tools for searching username in open data and is available to the average user.

The tool is also focused on the RU segment, which is its huge plus compared to similar OSINT applications.

Initially, a huge update of the Sherlock Project was planned for the CIS part (but after ~ 1/3 of the update of the entire database), however, at some point, the Sherlock developers changed their course and stopped accepting updates, explaining this state of affairs by the “Restructuring” of the project and approaching the maximum possible number of resources in your websites-database; this is how Snoop appeared, which went far ahead without adjusting to any external interests.

The project supports OS GNU/Linux, Windows, Android.
