RawTherapee 5.9 released

RawTherapee 5.9 released

Almost three years after the release of the previous version (5.8 was released on February 4, 2020), a new version of the RawTherapee digital negative development software has been released!

The new version adds many useful features, such as:

  • removing stains.
  • new saturation slider in the haze suppression module.
  • a new auto white balance method called "temperature correlation", the old version remains called "RGB gray".
  • the perspective correction module now has automatic correction.
  • The main histogram now supports display modes - waveform, vectorscope and classic RGB histogram.
  • the demosaicing module now has a new demosaicing method "double demosaicing".
  • a new local correction module that allows you to correct small areas of the frame (on the screenshot).
  • Pixel Shift demosaicing is supported, allowing you to average all frames to process motion in multiple frames.
  • …and of course, much more.

Added or improved support for over 140 cameras. However, this is due more to the fact that the previous version was released a very long time ago.

The program is available for Linux (including prepared AppImage), Windows. A MacOS version is expected soon.
