Version 1.3 of the Mumble voice communication platform has been released

About ten years after the last release, the next major version of the Mumble 1.3 voice communication platform was released. It is mainly focused on creating voice chats between players in online games and is designed to reduce latency and provide high quality voice transmission.

The platform is written in C++ and distributed under the BSD license.
The platform consists of two modules - a client (directly mumble), written in Qt, and a murmur server. A codec is used to transmit voice. opus.
The platform has a flexible system of distribution of roles and rights. For example, you can create several isolated user groups with the ability to communicate with each other only the leaders of these groups. There is also the possibility of recording joint podcasts.

The main features of the release:

  • Added the ability to locally adjust the volume on the user's side.
