Warframe Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X, Leyou Has Several More Games in Production

Video game holding Leyou Technologies revealed in its financial report that the shareware action game Warframe continues to attract many players. According to the data for the year, the project had 19,5% more users registered in 2019 compared to 2018. However, revenue for the same period decreased by 12,2%.

The company attributes this to three main factors: competition; a decrease in the influx of new console players; and slowing down the release of Warframe content. In recent months, Digital Extremes has been hard at work on a major update Empyrean. Leyou Technologies will try to correct errors in the future. She will begin by releasing Warframe on "new platforms, including next-gen consoles and other devices." The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will go on sale at the end of 2020. Both consoles will be backward compatible with the previous generation, so Warframe will run on them by default. However, Digital Extremes will apparently release an upgraded version of the game with improved graphics and performance.

Other devices mentioned earlier can be smartphones and tablets. At E3 2019, Service Operations Director Rebecca Ford told WCCFTech that Digital Extremes считает "cool" idea to release Warframe on mobile devices.

Warframe remains Leyou Technologies' main project for the foreseeable future, but the company also has The Lord of the Rings, Transformers Online, Civilization Online, and a host of other as yet unannounced new products in production. Some of them have already entered the final stage of development and will be released this year.
