Chucklefish announces a free turn-based strategy add-on Wargroove with a new campaign and game features.

The developer has published the details of the add-on, which is called Double Trouble, in the official blog. The main innovation of the DLC is the story campaign, designed to be completed in co-op mode (although it will also be available in single player). The story will revolve around a group of Rogues. Led by three squad leaders - the grizzled warrior Wulfar, the twins Errol and Orla, and Vesper - the clan wants to commit a heist.

Presumably some of the mechanics being introduced in Wargroove: Double Trouble will take this heist into account. In addition to the new units (thief and gunslinger), the Wargroove editor will receive a number of improvements that will serve to make missions more difficult. Objects such as levers and chests will allow content creators to turn map elements on or off, while new modifiers will allow the creation of weaker and stronger (or completely invulnerable) units and structures.

More information about Wargroove: Double Trouble can be found in the official blog developer. It's not yet known exactly when the expansion will be available to players, but Chucklefish has stated that the DLC is "in the final stages of testing" and will receive a release date and trailer soon.

Wargroove is out on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
