Western Digital introduced the WD Purple SC QD312 Extreme Endurance flash cards with increased reliability.
The products are designed primarily for use in modern surveillance cameras with intelligent functions. It is noted that such devices save not only high-quality video materials, but also additional data. And so the requirements for carriers are increasing. New memory cards are just designed for operation in such conditions.
Solutions WD Purple SC QD312 Extreme Endurance are made using 3D NAND flash memory. The declared operating temperature range extends from minus 25 to plus 85 degrees Celsius. The cards are not afraid of moisture, x-rays, magnetic fields and shocks.
The family includes three models - with a capacity of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. The declared sequential read speed of information reaches 100 MB / s, the sequential write speed is 65 MB / s.
Trial deliveries of new cards have already begun. Unfortunately, there is no information about the estimated price.
