WhatsApp will receive a full-fledged application for smartphones, PCs and tablets

WABetaInfo, a formerly reliable informant on news related to the popular WhatsApp messenger, published rumors that the company is working on a system that will free the WhatsApp messaging system from being strictly tied to the user’s smartphone.

WhatsApp will receive a full-fledged application for smartphones, PCs and tablets

To recap: Currently, if a user wants to use WhatsApp on their PC, they need to connect the app or website to their phone via a QR code. But if suddenly the phone is turned off (for example, the battery is low) or the application on the smartphone is not running, the user will not be able to send any messages or files from the PC.

WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp is working on a multi-account system that will allow you to use one or more accounts on your phone and PC simultaneously or separately. This feature will be available through the Universal Windows App (UWP) and will also affect the corresponding WhatsApp app for iPad.

Facebook, which owns WhatsApp, is working to integrate all messaging apps, including Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram, into a single platform (which has already resulted in several glitches) with the ability to share messages between these three popular services. WABetaInfo doesn't say when exactly the multi-platform WhatsApp app will be released, but it will most likely be part of the integration process, which is expected to be completed this year.
