Windows 10X supports classic single screen devices

It was previously reported that Microsoft has slowed down the pace of development. OS Windows 10X and postponed the release of a folding tablet Surface Neo and other dual-screen devices (Windows 10X) for 2021. However, judging by the same sources, Microsoft plans to use Windows 10X to work with classic single-screen devices.

Windows 10X supports classic single screen devices

And so, the other day, it was precisely these “traditional” devices that were noticed by a French student Gustave Mons (Gustave Monce) in the Windows 10X emulator, which he immediately reported on Twitter.

Judging by Gustave's comments, the Windows 10X emulator supports such large displays that it is difficult to install the specific model of the device on which the latest OS is supposed to be installed. Most likely, these will be new giant office displays from the series Surface Hub running Windows 10X. The release of this product, like the Surface Neo, has been delayed due to changes in the development and manufacturing of the device due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the same emulator, it is possible to work with small devices running Windows 10X with one screen. Microsoft is probably not going to focus on using its brainchild only in computers with a dual-screen configuration, and in the future we should expect announcements of new convertible laptops or tablets running the Windows 10X operating system.
