Wargaming.net is celebrating the fourth anniversary of the online naval action World of Warships with the launch of update 0.8.8, which will feature two new ships and various rewards.
Players will have the opportunity to get super containers for their first victory on Tier X ships. If you don't have such a ship yet, don't worry - the first victories on ships of a lower tier will also bring various prizes. Containers with special signals and camouflage dedicated to the World of Warships birthday are waiting for you. In honor of the holiday, new combat missions have been added, for completing which users will receive three additional super containers, as well as a container with a random Tier VI premium ship.
The update introduces a couple of new Tier X battleships into the game. The first is the British Thunderer, an alternative variant of the researchable Conqueror. The new ship is equipped with 457 mm cannons with high damage, good accuracy and relatively fast reloading. Thunderer's Repair Party consumable will be less effective than Conqueror's, but will gain 1 more charge.
The second battleship is the American Ohio. It is equipped with eight 457 mm cannons and powerful anti-mine caliber guns. βCombined with the fast reload of the Repair Party and decent armor, this makes the Ohio a great ship for close to mid-range battles,β the developers explain.
As part of the update, Wargaming will hold two ranked sprints, for each of which players will receive up to 10 units of coal to subsequently exchange for ships in the Armory. There will also be two 000-vs-3 clan blitzes on a map with a reduced combat zone.
