Focus Home Interactive and Saber Interactive have announced the first phase of free content release for the recently released co-op shooter World War Z.

This month, the developers will present players with a new mission in Tokyo and terrifying zombies that spit a deadly virus and can be resurrected if they are not killed correctly. Coming in June, World War Z will feature an Extreme difficulty setting that will offer a unique reward, bonus cosmetics, and more to be announced. Finally, in July, the developers will add new weapons and a weekly challenge mode, as well as additional cosmetics and other things.

Additionally, a major update to World War Z is in the works, which will bring wave-based combat, a private lobby, the ability to change classes during PvPvZ matches, as well as FOV and level of detail adjustments to the game on PC.
