The other day, IDC reportedthat Xiaomi sold approximately 25,0 million smartphones globally between January and March inclusive, accounting for 8,0% of the global market. At the same time, according to IDC, the demand for Xiaomi smart cellular devices decreased by 10,2% over the year.

However, Xiaomi itself gives other figures. Official figures show quarterly smartphone shipments of 27,5 million units. This is exactly 10% more than the figure given by IDC.

It should be noted that other analytical companies have released statistics that are generally in line with those of Xiaomi. So, Strategy Analytics also calls 27,5 million Xiaomi smartphones delivered in the quarter.

And Canalys at all says that Xiaomi in the first three months of this year sold approximately 27,8 million "smart" cellular devices.

However, all analytical agencies agree that the demand for Xiaomi smartphones has decreased slightly year-on-year. This is partly due to the rapid growth in popularity of Huawei devices.
