Xiaomi has no plans to release new Mi Mix series smartphones this year

However, today one of Xiaomi China brand promotion managers Edward Bishop posted a message on Weibo stating that no Mi Mix series smartphones will be released this year. This statement confirms that until the end of the year, the manufacturer intends to focus on the release of a limited number of Mi Mix Alpha devices, without adding new models to the series.

Recall, Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is the world's first smartphone that has a display covering almost the entire body of the device, including the sides and back. The device is equipped with a 7,92-inch display that covers most of the device and is framed by thin bezels on the front side. The device operates on the basis of the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, and also has 12 GB of RAM and a built-in storage of 512 GB. Autonomy is provided by a powerful 4050 mAh battery that supports fast 40-watt charging.

Obviously, Xiaomi will continue to release devices of the Mi Mix series, but this will not happen until next year.
