Poco F1, despite software flaws, was perhaps the most affordable smartphone of 2018 based on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 single-chip system. Yes, the case was made of plastic, an IPS screen was used, but the most famous problem of Pocophone F1 is the lack of support for Widevine technology L1.
As a result, smartphone users could not watch content on streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon even at 720p (and even more so at 1080p and higher) - only 540p. Xiaomi (or rather its subsidiary Poco) promised to find a solution, but the problem remained for a year. Fortunately, the wait has come to an end - the head of Poco India, C Manmohan, announced that the stable build of the 10.3.4.0 MB MIUI 515 update with Widevine L1 support has finally begun to arrive to users.
good news! We have started rolling out a new stable update for all our #POCOF1 fans. Key highlights of this update:
- 4k recording at 60FPS
- Game Turbo Mode
-Widevine L1 support
-Latest security patch

This was inevitable after the beta came out in January. It is worth noting, however, that for now we are only talking about compatibility with DRM-protected materials on HotStar and Amazon Prime Video services, and watching HD-quality videos on Netflix is ββstill not available. But Poco is working on it and promises to provide a solution soon.
Other innovations in the update include the Game Turbo mode, which improves performance in games; the ability to unlock the device using face recognition; 4K video recording at 60 fps (and slow motion recording up to 960 fps); new modes for smart camera; the latest security updates from Google; a few minor tweaks to work with notifications and a number of fixes.
All this is intended to make the Poco F1 an even more attractive smartphone, especially when there are discounts and sales. It seems that until the Pocophone F2 is introduced this year, the F1 will remain one of the best phones on the market in terms of price and features.
