The other day smartphone Redmi 9 thanks to the publication of one of the retail online stores, and now Xiaomi has officially announced the device in Europe. The solution can offer a 6,53-inch Full HD + display with a waterdrop notch, an 8nm single-chip MediaTek Helio G80 system and a rear quad camera.
The 13-megapixel main module is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (118 °), a 5-megapixel macro module (shooting from 4 cm) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front side is an 8-megapixel camera for self-portraits. Redmi 9 has a textured back surface that prevents fingerprints, as well as a fingerprint scanner on the back cover. The smartphone includes a 5020 mAh battery with support for high-speed 18-watt charging (however, only 10 W charging is included). Unfortunately, the smartphone still uses an eMMC storage rather than UFS.
In general, the technical specifications of Redmi 9 look like this:

- rear camera: 13-megapixel module with f / 2,2 aperture; 8 MP 118° ultra wide-angle module with f/2,2 aperture; 2 MP depth sensor; 4-megapixel macro module for shooting from a distance of 4 cm with f / 2,4 aperture; LED flash;
- 8MP front camera with f/2 aperture;
- fingerprint sensor, IR emitter;
- 3,5mm audio jack, FM radio support;
- dimensions 163 × 77 × 9,1 mm with a weight of 198 grams;
- Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2,4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC (optional), USB Type-C;
- 5020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
Redmi 9 comes in green, purple and gray color options. The cost of the smartphone in the European Union market is €149 and €179, respectively, for versions 3/32 GB and 4/64 GB, but for a limited time the device is available for order at a price of €139 ($158) and €169 ($192).
