Quite a lot is already known about one of the most anticipated smartphones of this spring, Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. But there is one detail that haunts many fans of the Chinese brand - the processor of the new smartphone. According to the latest data, the device will receive a completely new processor manufactured by MediaTek.

Previously, it was assumed that the smartphone will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, aimed at devices in the middle price segment. However, in the database of the popular Geekbench benchmark, the smartphone “lit up” with the MT6769V / CZ processor. Initially it was reported that this marking belongs to the Helio G70, a budget chipset for gaming devices, but according to the latest leak, this is a completely new processor called Helio P75.

The source of information is the Twitter account @xiaomishka, which previously acted as a source of reliable information about the upcoming products of Xiaomi and its subsidiaries. And although this is the first mention of the name Helio P75, Redmi Note 9 is not the first device that “lit up” in Geekbench with this SoC. The chipset first appeared on Geekbench back in September last year as part of an unknown device that has 2 GB of RAM and runs on Android 10. Pleased with the fact that the processor shows higher results than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, which is equipped with Redmi Note 8T.

The chipset marking makes us doubt that this is not Helio G70. However, this processor is equipped with Realme C3, whose chipset is identified as MT6769V / CB and has a clock speed of 1,7 GHz. The Redmi Note 9 chip is labeled MT6769V/CZ and clocked at 100 MHz higher. It is likely that the processors will differ only in clock speed, as was the case with the Snapdragon 625 and 626.
