Xiaomi RedmiBook 14: metal laptop starting at $580

The Redmi brand, created by the Chinese company Xiaomi, has officially unveiled its first portable computer - a laptop called RedmiBook 14.

The device received a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (Full HD format). The brightness is 250 cd/m2, the horizontal viewing angle is 178 degrees.

The laptop can be equipped with an Intel Core i7-8565U or Core i5-8265U processor. The amount of DDR4-2133 RAM is 8 GB.

Buyers will be able to choose between modifications with a solid-state drive with a capacity of 256 GB and 512 GB. Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2×2 (2,4/5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters are provided.

The graphics subsystem uses an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 accelerator with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. An HDMI interface is provided to output images to an external monitor or TV.

The laptop has a metal case with dimensions of 323 × 228 × 17,95 mm. Weight is approximately 1,5 kilograms. The declared battery life on one battery charge reaches 10 hours.

The Windows 10 operating system is installed on the laptop computer. You can purchase the new product at an estimated price of $580.
