The Chinese company Xiaomi, according to network sources, may soon announce a device for reading e-books.
We are talking about a gadget in the style of Kindle readers. The new product will receive a monochrome screen based on E Ink electronic paper. It is not yet clear whether touch control support will be implemented.
The display size, as noted, will be about 8 inches diagonally. There is no information about permission at this time. We can assume that the panel will be able to reproduce 16 shades of gray.
Observers believe that the device will receive a MediaTek processor and a Wi-Fi wireless adapter. Other technical characteristics have not yet been disclosed, unfortunately.
Web sources add that Xiaomi may present the reader before the end of this month. The price most likely will not exceed $100.
