Xiaomi has filed a new patent application with the China Intellectual Property Association (CNIPA). This document describes a smartphone case with a compartment for fixing wireless headphones. While in the case, the headset can be recharged using the device built into the smartphone for reverse wireless charging.
At the moment, there are no smartphones with support for reverse wireless charging and headphones capable of charging from wireless charging in the Xiaomi model range, so such a case is unlikely to go on sale in the near future.
As for the appearance of the device depicted in the patent application, its ergonomics are highly questionable. It is unlikely that a sufficiently voluminous βhumpβ on the back of the smartphone will add convenience when using. But since this is just a patent, there is a chance that the case depicted in it is just a concept that will never go on sale.
