XMage 1.4.34, a free client and server for playing Magic: The Gathering both online and against the computer, has been released.
MTG is the world's first collectible fantasy card game, the progenitor of all modern CCGs like Hearthstone and Eternal.
XMage is a client-server application written in the Java language using the Swing graphical toolkit.
Application features:
- access to all 18 unique cards released over the 20-year history of MTG;
- automatic control and application of the rules of the game;
- multiplayer mode with the search for players on a shared server;
- single player mode with the game against the computer (AI);
- dozens of formats and game modes (Standard, Modern, Vintage, Commander and more);
- the possibility of holding both single matches and tournaments.
What's new in this version:
- Setting the card distribution mode, incl. the newest London Mulligan;
- Saving and loading match and tournament settings;
- Export deck to various formats;
- Highlighting possible targets for spells, attacks and blocking;
- Ability to cancel spells when choosing targets or paying;
- New and improved mechanics for skipping moves;
- New game server in China;
- Dozens of fixes in maps and mechanics.
