Conversations XMPP client adds support for video calls
Π Conversions, an open XMPP client for the platform Android, appeared support for video and audio calls. Calls are available from any XMPP server with a direct connection (without NAT). Server developers Ejabberd ΠΈ Prosody are already working on implementing TURN/STUN support on servers for NAT traversal, which means that full support for video calls in the XMPP network will appear in the coming months. The existing TURN/STUN XMPP extension was found to be incompatible with hashed passwords and needs to be corrected.
