The Yandex company has opened registration for the programming championship, in which specialists from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan can take part.
The competition will be held in four areas: front-end and back-end development, data analytics and machine learning. The competition is held in two stages for several hours, and in each stage you need to write programs to solve a certain number of problems.
It is important to note that the tasks will be close to the real tasks that Yandex developers face every day. Back-end and front-end development tasks were prepared by the search and geoservices teams, and machine learning tasks were prepared by specialists from the Yandex Machine Intelligence and Research Department. Data analysis tasks were compiled by analysts from the department responsible for the security of users on the network.
Persons over the age of 18 can take part in the competition. The championship starts on May 20, and the final of the competition will begin on June 1.
In each direction, there are three cash and several special prizes. In particular, the reward for the first place will be 300 thousand rubles, for the second and third - 150 thousand and 100 thousand rubles, respectively. Among the special prizes is the "smart" speaker "Yandex.Station".
The results of the competition will be announced on June 5th. The winners will get a chance to join the Yandex development team. You can submit an application for participation in the championship here.
