The Yandex company announced the identification of a dishonest employee who provided unauthorized access to mailboxes in the Yandex.Mail service. One of the three main administrators of the technical support service of the service, who had full access to the infrastructure, was convicted of fraud with mailboxes. As a result of the incident, 4887 mailboxes of Yandex.Mail users were compromised. Yandex is currently conducting an internal investigation and is working to revise employee work processes to minimize the impact of the human factor on the security of user data.
