The Japanese regulator has allocated frequencies to operators for the deployment of 5G networks

According to Reuters, the frequency resource was distributed among the three leading operators in Japan - NTT Docomo, KDDI and SoftBank Corp - along with a new market participant Rakuten Inc.

According to conservative estimates, these telecommunications companies will spend a total of just under 5 trillion yen ($1,7 billion) over five years to create 15,29G networks. However, these numbers may increase significantly over time.

At the moment, Japan is lagging behind other countries such as South Korea and the United States in this direction, which have already begun to deploy 5G services.
