Free content will be "diluted" with advertising, due to which the novelty will be monetized. At the same time, it is noted that this approach gives more opportunities to advertisers and increases the effectiveness of advertising in general. For those who do not want to be interrupted by advertising, paid subscription options will be offered.
So far, the company has not specified when exactly YouTube Originals will become free. However, it is already known that the first season of the series Cobra Kai (a continuation of the 1984 Karate Kid) in this format will be released on August 29. That is, most likely, it is necessary to focus on this period.
It is also noted that not all original shows will be available in a free format. There is no complete list yet, but it is logical to assume that the top series like Cobra Kai, which has already been renewed for a third season, although the second debuted just a week ago, will remain paid.
