The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor) reports that our country has blocked access to a forum that distributes personal data bases of 900 clients of Russian banks.
About a major leak of information about clients of Russian financial institutions, we a few days ago. Information about the clients of OTP Bank, Alfa-Bank and HKF-Bank got into open access. The databases contain the names, phone numbers, passport details and places of work of almost a million Russians.
It should be emphasized that the databases leaked to the Internet contain information for the last few years, but a significant part of the information is still relevant.
Roskomnadzor said in a statement that the forum, where the databases were available for paid download, was included in the Register of Violators of the Rights of Personal Data Subjects. Russian telecom operators are already restricting access to the site on the territory of our country.

There is no information on the forum website confirming the consent of citizens or other legal grounds for the processing of their personal data. Illegal placement of personal data of almost a million Russians on the Internet creates uncontrollable risks of massive violation of the rights of citizens, a threat to the security of themselves and their property, βRoskomnadzor emphasizes.
